What book would you recommend for a beginner in classic literature?

I'm seventeen years old, and I'm becoming interested in reading classic literature. There are a lot of books I would like to read, but I need suggestions on what would be a good book for someone who has just started to read it. I've read The Picture of Dorian Gray (Wilde), and I'm in the middle of A Room with a View (Forster), if it helps with knowing any sort of experience.
