Question by martin: Why do writers of tv programs put so much violence in them?

Because it's easier to create violent stories than intelligent stories. I am sick to death of violence on tv.
I wish the industry would replace these writers who can only write violence with Intelligent, creative writers who value the human thinking brain, Just how many times do you laugh at soaps or evening programs?

Answer by Smells like New Screen Names
Violence, like sex or sorrow is an easy emotional button to push on people. Something like comedy is a much more difficult thing to pull off as it often requires a great amount of creativity and knowledge of the audience.
